The Diamond Center Adult Day Program is the home away from home for individuals with disabilities. Our goal is to provide them with care, welfare, and security at all times while enhancing their social and academic skills. We accomplish this by assisting our patients to perform various personal centered goals, such as money management, active daily living, and computer skills. The Diamond Center takes pride in offering frequent integrated outings with the option of a personal choice on Fridays. We have visited several malls in the city of Atlanta, and restaurants such as O’Charley’s and Golden Corral for etiquette and menu ordering training. For culture awareness and creativity, we have visited the Cultural Artifacts and History Museum in North Dekalb Mall along with the Pottery Place where our patients chose their own paint and glaze. Walmart and Dollar Tree are our most frequent places to visit to aid in money management skills. On Fridays, our patients are given the choice to attend places such as parks, Hobby Lobby, Target, Home Depot, and the library.
