Who We Are
Diamonds in The Rough Services was established in December 2009 to serve people with intellectual disabilities in Rex, Georgia. Our commitment to the individuals we serve speaks for itself. Diamonds in The Rough not only provides a consistent daily routine but also makes sure that the participants feel loved and are receiving the best care available from our professionally trained staff and management team.
Ours is a Medicaid-based program which assesses individuals based on matching strengths and needs. Diamonds in The Rough allows individuals to remain in a natural home and family-like environment, which is integrated within a residential community as opposed to an institution or a large facility.
Our staff is trained and qualified to supervise all individuals while providing care, welfare, safety, and security to all participants.
Leisure activities, medical management, and adult day services are offered, as well as host home care. We ensure the highest quality of services for each individual in our care. Diamonds in The Rough Services is an organization that demonstrates integrity, and high moral and ethical standards.
Our Mission
It is the mission of Diamonds in The Rough Services to provide the highest quality of service that gives persons served a safe, caring place to reside, and builds friendships within a family-like environment while providing a loving and nurturing atmosphere to adults with developmental disabilities. We aim to foster a new level of freedom while improving the quality of life for each individual served. Moreover, it is our mission to provide each person with the supportive services needed to allow them to live to their fullest potential within their communities.
Our Goal
Our goal is to provide the highest level of care to each individual served within our organization so that they may progress to a greater level as compared from their initial admission. It is also our goal to respect each person and their own unique individuality and to encourage well-balanced nutrition and an overall healthy lifestyle. All these while ensuring that each individual with special needs engages in daily life skills and activities that enhance their quality of life.
